Things take time! Keep this thought in mind first and foremost. It goes back to the old saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” Next, if you are feeling very frustrated and discouraged, ready to give up, it’s time to take action to refocus. Take a step back from what you are working on. This will give you a chance to shift your focus. First, take a beep breath of gratitude. Be grateful that whatever it is you are trying to achieve, be grateful that you are able physically, emotionally, mentally to be working towards something you desires. An attitude of gratitude goes a long way. Lastly, check your motivates and make sure that what you are wanting to achieve is worthy of your energy, time and emotions. If that answer is yes, rest in that feeling for a few moments. By doing these three steps you will find that you are able to return to whatever you doing with a much better attitude. The key is to maintain this mindset if/when a feeling of discouragement starts to come back.
